Watch: £100,000 BMW swept out to sea after owner parks on beach and forgets about tides

A £100,000 BMW was washed out to sea after it was parked on a beach.

It’s thought the owner parked up beach for the day – forgetting about the tides.

The black M4 convertible was quickly swept along on the outgoing tide.

The vehicle was made safe by the St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team.

They checked no one was inside the luxury motor before handing over the operation to a recovery team.

The coastguard reported on Facebook:

“Callout 16 Sunday 28th May 2023 0829hrs (514662)

“Trevaunance Beach – St Agnes. Team tasked to the Trevaunance Beach car wash to make sure all occupants were out of the vehicle and safe.

“We remained on scene whilst recovery efforts were made and the vehicle was finally removed.

“Team stood down and returned to station at 1019hrs.”

They added: “You can’t park there, sir!”
