Criminals have put out a £250,000 contract on the killer who shot dead a nine-year-old girl.
The gangsters fear convicted shooter Thomas Cashman will “grass up” gang members.
Cashman, 34, was jailed today (Monday) for 42 years for murder and attempted murder.
He killed Olivia Pratt-Korbel during a botched attempt to shoot dead rival drug dealer Joseph Nee.
Nee, 36, had run into Olivia’s home in Dovecote, Liverpool, to escape the gunman.
Cashman – who has been linked to three unsolved murders – fired through the door and hit the schoolgirl.
The Sun reports that a “bounty to silence” Cashman has been offered.
A gang insider told the newspaper the bounty has been in place for some weeks and has circulated around the UK’s jails.
The source added that there are several people “who will not think twice about carrying it out”.
He said news of the bounty has been publicised on encrypted messaging app Telegram.
The insider said: “Those who ordered the hit are worried Cashman will turn over information about gang executions and unsolved murders to improve the terms of his imprisonment.
“His testimony would cause a world of pain for several big, organised crime bosses who do not want their activities being looked at.
“There are lifers who will be mixing with him [Cashman] in months and years to come who will not think twice about carrying it out.”
The insider added that Cashman “knows everything there is to know about organised crime, drugs and violence” in Merseyside.
