The last set of stamps featuring the late Queen celebrate Flying Scotman’s 100th anniversary.

The last set of stamps featuring the late Queen Elizabeth II have been issued.

The set celebrates the Flying Scotsman train in its 100th anniversary.

The stamps were approved by the Queen months before her death.

King Charles III stamps will be released on April 4th.

Traditionally British stamps do not have the name of the country.

The monarch’s figurehead is sufficient to let the world know it’s a UK stamp.

The set shows the steam train in various locations around the country.

The stamps will be available to pre-order from Feb 28 on Royal Mail’s website.

The collection goes on general sale from March 9 priced at £17.70.

David Gold, the director of external affairs and policy at Royal Mail, said:

“Flying Scotsman is a national treasure of engineering and design that conjures up the golden age of steam travel.

“This remarkable locomotive epitomises the romance of rail travel and is loved by people all over the world.

“We are honoured to mark this landmark milestone with a set of Special Stamps.”
